Call for ideas, contributions, and collaborators

Nature Forecast is a research-driven initiative that aims to provide real-time forecasts and monitoring products to support environmental decision-making and conservation efforts. You can learn more about us here.

Currently, we are in beta stage and are actively seeking to improve our platform, products, and expand our team of collaborators. Therefore, we welcome any contributions in this regard.

Specifically, we are looking for collaborations on the development of new products.

Our current focus is to develop research-level products supporting invasive species monitoring, natural resource management, conservation of protected areas or species, forest health and deforestation monitoring.

Hence, If you have an idea for a new product related to these topics and think that we could help with the implementation send us an email (see contacts).

We also welcome new members to our team of research collaborators. We are a small team and the workload is extensive and increasing. There are various tasks that would benefit from a few extra pairs of hands/brains, including for example the development and implementation of new products, maintaining existing ones (mostly consisting of R and Python code), processing spatial data, developing and managing the computational infrastructure (Linux/MS Windows), or maintaining our WordPress front end.

Lastly, we also appreciate contributions towards obtaining funding to support the IT infrastructure and the development of new products.
